Battery Leads:

OptiMate premium fused battery leads, made with durable components, are considered the ultimate in safe and easy connect ability to the battery. Three different ringlet sizes are available to fit battery terminals with screw / bolt fasteners.

M6 (1/4”) Ringlets (found on O-21, O-31s), are ideal for motorcycle and powersport battery terminals. The battery lead delivered with some powersport specific chargers are also M6 (1/4”).

M6 / 1/4″ – M8 / 5/16” dual size ringlets (found on O-01, O-124, O-127) offer versatile fitting for both powersport and automotive batteries. M6 (1/4”) is the default size, but it can be easily adapted* the larger M8 (5/16”) size.

M8 (5/16″) / M10 (3/8″) dual size ringlets (found on O-11, O-128) fit larger automotive, marine, and industrial battery terminals. M8 (5/16”) is the default size, but it can be easily adapted* the larger M10 (3/8”) size.

* Dual size ring adaption to the larger size – remove the metal triangular spacer; twist and break off using a set of long nose pliers.

Battery Leads – Connector Types:

SAE connector (found on O-01, O-11, O-124, O-127, O-128) is the standard connector that is compatible with all OptiMate chargers. The O-01 & O-11 standard SAE connector also has mounting slits to secure the connector out of harm’s way when not in use.

Slim SAE connector (found on O-31s) is a more compact version of the standard SAE, measuring 16mm (21/32″) x 8mm (11/32″), perfect for tight spaces.

Battery lead – Protection when not in use: Every OptiMate battery lead has a silicon rubber sealing cap to protect the connector from ingress of dirt and water.

Premium protection:

Each battery lead is protected against accidental electrical short circuit or over current with a replaceable fuse (15A for O-01, O-11, O-124, O-127, O-128, O-21 / 7.5A for O-31s).

Cable with thick insulation rated for use down to -40°C / -40°F and certified for on-vehicle / equipment battery charging, is used in all OptiMate battery leads.

O-124, O-128 and O-127 –

The O-124, O-127 and O-128 smart battery leads include a dual function microprocessor and 4 LEDs that 1) monitor & display the battery’s state of charge during storage, and 2) confirms if voltage is within range when the battery is receiving charge. It warns if charge voltage is too high.
