When receiving charge the Li-ion flow is reversed, Li-Ions are returned to the anode. It is essential that a balance is maintained and there are sufficient Li-Ions at the anode and cathode after discharge or recharge. Wenn sich die Batterie entl\u00e4dt, nimmt die Konzentration der Schwefels\u00e4ure ab und der Wassergehalt steigt, wodurch der Gefrierpunkt des Elektrolyten gegen\u00fcber dem von Wasser ansteigt. Eine Batterie mit 50% Ladezustand hat einen Gefrierpunkt von ca. -22\u00b0F\/-30\u00b0C, aber der Elektrolyt einer vollst\u00e4ndig entladenen Batterie besteht haupts\u00e4chlich aus Wasser (H2O) mit einem Gefrierpunkt von 32\u00b0F\/0\u00b0C. Wenn Wasser gefriert, dehnt es sich um 120% aus und zerst\u00f6rt die Batterie von innen.
