Yes, OptiMate 5 Start/Stop will save 'dead flat' sulphated batteries from as low as 0.5V.
A (plug-in) hybrid car always has a 12v starter battery, in order to start the engine when necessary. This 12v battery will not be charged when connecting to a charging pole. The OptiMate 5 Start/Stop is an excellent choice to charge and maintain the battery of your (plug-in) hybrid car battery.
The OptiMate 5 Start/Stop has been developped to charge and maintain the STD, AGM or EFB battery in your car with start/stop technology.
The OptiMate 5 Start/Stop is developed to charge and maintain EFB batteries
STD, AGM and GEL 12V lead-acid batteries used for engine start & deep cycle applications.
For batteries from 12Ah to 160 Ah for 24-7 battery maintenance. Can recharge batteries up to 96Ah within 24hours.
The time required for the OptiMate 5 Start/Stop to complete a charge on a flat but otherwise undamaged battery is roughly 1/4 of the battery’s Ah rating, so a 40Ah battery should take no more than about 10 hours to progress to Step 5. Deep-discharged batteries may take significantly longer.
