OptiMate PRO-4 DUO is the automatic diagnostic charger for 4 x 12V Pb lead-acid (STD, AGM, GEL) and/or 12.8V LFP lithium (LiFePO4 / Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) batteries.

Four fully independent 5 Amp charging stations / banks, each with 3 Selectable modes to service NEW and USED powersport batteries, including 12V Pb (lead-acid, AGM, GEL) and 12.8V lithium (LiFePO4 / LFP) – activate 4x NEW, or save and/or charge and test 4x USED batteries!

Activate or prepare new batteries within one hour (60’), including Pb (lead-acid, dry-charged AGM) with separate acid pack, factory activated Pb (AGM & GEL) and LFP lithium delivered in sleep mode and/or requiring a top up charge – correctly prepares new batteries for best performance and to prevent early failure.

Automatically save any type of deep discharged battery from as low as 0.5 Volts, additionally for LFP lithium, manually reset the protective BMS and save from zero volts – dead-flat, neglected batteries can be recovered!

State of health test for GOOD (80 to 100%), OK (60 – 80%) or BAD (below 60%) batteries – confirms if battery is Serviceable or should be replaced.

FAQ

What does a PRO series charger do?

The PRO series is a range of professional battery charger-testers, ideal as workshop tools for retailers. A PRO series charger has selectable charge programs and advanced PRO features.

What's the difference between the selectable programs?

Pb: for 12V lead-acid (STD / AGM / GEL) batteries.

LFP: for 12.8V / 13.2V LiFePO4 batteries.

60′: A shortened program with charge time limited to 60 minutes or 1 hour, suitable for first charge / activation of a new battery, or a quick recharge of a healthy used battery with voltage higher than 11.4V. NOTE: If no selection (Pb or LFP) is made prior to connecting a battery for charge, the 60′ mode becomes the default selection.

How do I select the correct program?

To make a charge mode selection press and release the button once for Pb, twice for LFP or three times for 60'. Continuing to press and release the button in rapid succession will cycle selection from Pb through to 60' and then back to Pb. If no further selection is made for 3 seconds the last selected mode LED brightens to confirm selection is now final.

NOTE: If no selection is made 60sec. following connecting a battery for charge, the 60' mode activates automatically. To change selection, disconnect the battery, wait for the program to reset (confirmed when all LEDs flash together twice) and then return to a). Alternatively, turn off AC SW1 to reset all charge banks / stations.

What does the 60' mode mean?

The 60' mode is a shortened program with charge time limited to 60 minutes or 1 hour, suitable for first charge / activation of a new battery, or a quick recharge of a healthy used battery with voltage higher than 11.4V.

Do I have to charge new batteries?

Always charge before first use. New LFP/LiFePO4 batteries are subject to international transportation limitations and may be delivered with a 30% or less state of charge. Batteries fitted with resettable overdischarge protection may be delivered in 'sleep mode' i.e. power to the positive terminal has been internally disconnected i.e. no voltage will be measured at the battery terminals/posts. During storage the battery may have lost further charge.

Can I charge series connected batteries with a multi-bank?

Yes, even if the batteries are connected in series they can still be charged without being disconnected from each other.

Connect a charge bank to each battery individually, as if the batteries are not connected to each other. Each charge bank works independently with only the battery it is connected to.
